WORST OF THE FOES (DEFENDING/ATTACKING STRATEGIES)

 Every army in this game have some classy units like we have in Tartary Army Corps. In this thread, i want to investigate the strategies on dealing with them. Would love to hear about yours' too if you comment.

I cant tell about all possible options for foes, therefore wanted to categorise them.

Best Defender Foe around

Suryat HRL in a link (Morats)

It is very hard to move with our warbands, when he is on the table. Cause of it we need to get rid of him. Can we ?

 Msv1 , high arm-bts values in cover with mighty BS , getting all the possible bonuses from the link he is in. BS19 2 burst defence with heavy rocket ,sixsense and MSV1 is one of the hardest thing to remove in the game. 

Immumity AP and Immunity Shock too. Religious and Veteran.  What can be said ?

Lets assume, we have a tankhunter with hmg. Doesnt work here at all. Suryat makes the Ap hmg a standart one. Sixsense eliminates suprise attack. MSV1 ruins mimetism bonus. 

Tankhunter bs12 4 burst against bs16 2 rockets. Well.. odds are not perfect. Even we succeed on face to face; damage15 against Arm 7 in cover with 2 wounds is hard to remove. When ever we wound him 2 times, it falls ok but getsup easilly later in the game. Autocannon version doesnt work for similar reasons.

Spetsnaz hmg attacks with bs15 here. We have better chances. But still we are far from killing it. 

So who might be our hero against morats ?

Antipodes ... Antipodes can reach this link in 3 orders. Suryat can not attack them but can try to discover the camos. We will double move in closest cover with a pace of 12 inch per order. If the opponent discovers us, we will recamo again and keep moving once more an other 12 inch. We can choose to attack other link members and weaken the link or directly we can attack to Suryat.

Same idea can be done with a camo troop but we will need to spend so many orders to reach to opponents' deploymeny zone.

You can bring a spetsnaz boarding shotgun with parachutist skill. We can send the grenades in. However if he is in a building in middle of the deployment zone, situation may be harder for us.

Best Attacker  Foe Around 

Jan Staar (Tohaa-Spiral Corps)

He can easily ruin the game for you in the beginning. He has all dangerous elements, which a TAK player afraids. Impersonation together with viral pistolsx2 . He keep the viral pistols in close combat. We dont have any BTS defence and he will be attacking on your poorest defense ability.

You can see a mighty kazakh veteran dies in seconds. For ratnik it is the same. A link can be destroyed in afew turns. 

Apart from viral, he has mines,shotgun but more importantly he can bring symbiont bombs and mates to table.

He never dies. Symbiont armor(2W) + symbiont mate.

So, can we do something here ?

Minelayers may seem useless at first sight. But this impersonation type is the easiest one to discover and a few mines around can help in defence.

Best idea is to bring camo profiles. Decoys and mines. When ever Jaan tries to discover something he looses his state then may loose a wound, while walking around. 

Take a cheaper link and protect it with mines. Keep the members distance a bit far from each other so that Jaan spends many orders. Put link in deep sides of deployment zone, which is hard to reach.

Block the way with antipodes and other markers so that it would be hard to reach to the link.

Putting a strelok minelayer on this way will hugely help. Keep him as the last mini in your deployment  to cover the way of the impersonater.

Best Tricky Foe 

Spotlight / Guided Missiles

Hackers will spotlight you and then send missiles. Especially our links are in danger against this tricky opponent trick. They will visit us with pitchers very easily and start bombing with EXP ammo which takes only a few turns only to kill our troops.

Main solution is to keep your troops in camo. Dont show up easily. After making your job done, dont forget to get in camo again.

You can try with streloks' mines and irmandinho to stay near your core link and try to protect zone of control. But it is useless against pitchers.

Best Equipment Foe

MSV 1 and MSV 2 ( Multi spectral visors )

Any link with msv1 or worse msv2 can ruin our day easilly. Our war bands can not move on its sight, our mimetism doesnt work. 

Any troop with mimetism like Ruishi can clean the table from ariadna troops.

We must not stay in sight when we see one and has to be our first enemy to remove from table.

Msv1 was not very strong before in other editions. Now it is. Our run in smokes days over after Corvus Belli decided that even Msv1 can see in smokes. So if you know that your opponent has MSV, especially in a defensive link, better to not bring many warbands with smokes.

Best Team Foe

FIRETEAMS

Our best known tactic is to attack with a suprise attack. If we cant, it  effects our attacking power in a negative way in our own turn. Any fireteam brings a big disadvantage against our heroes. Sixsense ability which comes with 4man links at least creates the related problem.

Best idea is to reduce the link members in 3 as soon as possible. After then, for instance our spetsnaz hmg can kill any unit much more easily.

Worst Foe we can ever face in the game

Marut (Aleph)

Hide otherwise you will die. Marut has all the powerful things we can see on the battlefield. Marut brings MSV2 with scaring BS of 15. Arm value 8 with BTS 9. 3 structure points.

We need to be hidden completely on your opponents' turn. We have nothing in hand but to wait his reign is over. Our tank hunter with Autocannon can seem as an ideal candidate to kill Marut but still not on its' turn.

In our turn, if tank hunter can find a spot to see Marut, she can attack with 2 burst suprise shot. If even Marut is in cover, bs12 2 burst against bs12 1 shot hmg seems like a great chance to deal with this beast.

Otherwise Any unit with a dcharge with CC skills is other good way of dealing with her. If he is also in camo better. Pavel Aleksei is a great example of a unit that can get rid of a Marut with this combination.
