THE WOLVES ( DEEP TAK ANALYSIS )

My TAK army is called the Wolves. I use to give identification to the armies i play. Paint them in style accordingly. This is an other days' topic but i wanted to write about positive and negative sides of the TAK army incase anybody wants to start TAK but not sure about it yet.

Before the weekend, i am planning to release this thread.

USAGE OF THE GAME TABLE ( Above Mediocre )

TAK is well established in their own deployment zone and has really cool expansion on its' side of the table. With streloks and infiltrators you can expand very well and leave few spaces for opponent. We are great here.

There is a cool unit spetznaz who is expensive but dangerous for the opponent. However you dont have a specialist option here which is sad.

We dont have any unit like impersonaters or infiltration plus units that we can deploy in opponents' side.

SPECIALISTS AND CLASSIFIEDS  Above Mediocre )

We have good specialists. Infiltrator forward observers, specialists and fast paramedics. On hacking we are lacking and we dont have any combat jump specialists. It is more difficult for us to reach opponents' side centeral area.

KILLING THINGS ( BEST! )

You will enjoy it here. Strong deadly link, deadly Spetsnaz and better ninja Pavel is here. Dog warriors are others waiting for you to select them as possible rambos.

We are one of the best armies to kill things because we have one of the best ratios to win face to face rolls with mimetism-suprise attack in cover combo.

HACKING AND TECHY STUFF ( SUCKS! )

We are really bad on hacking. There is only wardriver and you will almost never take him.

SPOTLIGHT AND REPEATER COVERAGE ( Below Mediocre )

I would love to tell you nice things here but we dont have spotlight meta madness. No repeater coverage and no hackers around. Forward observers are plently but they dont have any way to spotlight their opponent in opponents' turn.

Our forward observers can still do their job in our turn. Uragan is a real powerful thing but less efficient on destroying TAGS when you compare it with guided missile launchers.

HANDY EQUIPMENTS ( Mediocre )

We have a few things. Baggage, MSV Level1 on Frontovik sniper , medikits, deactivator if you count.

We have cool motorcyle units like Dynamo and 112 with bike. Mine dispenser is really good equipment. Anyways we are not very rich on this subject.

SPECIAL SKILLS ( COOL! )

We have many important skills indeed. Marksmanship, BS(shock), decoys, minelayer etc however most important ones to define our sectorial is camouflage and suprise attack with mimetism all around.

Booty on two units is really interesting. Plenty of close combat skills like berserk, natural born warrior and dogged existing on several units.

Tactical awareness on antipodes makes this unit special since they are the only unit in this game keeping this skill together with camouflage skill.

WEAPONS ( Very Good )

We have ap HMG, autocannon and many sorts of weapons.

T2 ammo both on BS and CC, assault pistols, Rocket types and almost all standart and AP weapons are around.

But we dont have exotic weapons here if you like them. No k1, no viral no plasma guns here.

CONCLUSION

We are really competitive on the meta right now. We have a good chance on winning tournaments and everybody will hate you cause of many hidden troops you have but we are not one of the best armies in the game. Nomads, Combined Army, Kosmoflot , Tohaa , Bahram , Ariadna, Corregidor and Varuna are better than us in meta in my opinion. Your idea might be completely different. Comrades dont worry, we are in good condition!

Anyways please write me your opinions and would love to hear your view of the army you are playing.

Comments

  1. Hey there, I mostly agree with your opinion. I don't think that Varuna ist better though, instead I guess Aconcimento is a tough one. But all of them can be beaten. To sum it up, I think TAK is really in a good spot and you will have a lot of good games with them. I really enjoy the playstyle and they don't let you down. Btw Carmen is awesome.
