ARMOR PIERCING LEADERS (TANK HUNTERS)

 “Wait, shoot, run”. Unofficial motto of tankhunters. The TankHunter Regiment is formed by units trained in the joint use of anti-tank weaponry and camouflage techniques and always have been one of our best troopers in TAK since the beginning of the game.

Hammer time!

Tankhunters are the main armor piercing attack power of TAK armies. They hide and hit strong. They are the first units if you know that something big is coming for you.

Versatility in options, nice Armor of 3, BS12 and camouflage with suprised attack. They are born to fight with big dudes like Tags,Sujian,Achiles and others. Here are the tankhunters.

We can appoint our Lieutenant a tankhunter. A hidden LT is a great advantage. I would love to field the standart tankhunter profile with AP rifle,Adhesive launcher and AP mines a bit forward to use their arsenal better. You can remember that i was not so sure to use a strelok profile to bring better weapons. This is Because of tankhunters. Even the standart profile is a stronger than the streloks.

Chain of command is perfect, if you like to bring Voronin as a LT.

Tankhunters start the game in their camo form. When you think about  lots of other camo options around, you can understand that we have the safest in LT in the game.

You can use LT orders to lay AP mines around if needed. Or after killing something, you can revert back to your camo form with a LT order.


You can use the missile launcher too if you want but there are 2 more strategic variants of tankhunters.

HMG Tankhunter acts like a weaker spetsnaz but AP ammo on the weapon, helps alot to destroy big units.

Our main unit to destroy TAGS and links is Portable autocannon option. In our turn, you can use mimetism,cover and suprised shot abilities to give opponent -9 on face to face rolls to make a devastating 2 burst attack with EXPLOSIVE-AP Ammo. You have a chance to destroy a TAG at one time.

In a camo field, you can act like a decoy to wait the right time in ARO to use these beast. There is a chance that you can loose her but gain is very big, if you can succeed.

Wip14 is interesting and makes chain of command units a reliable specialist and better wip is nice for Liuetenants too.


Our tankhunter officer Vasilly comes with T2 weapons and dcharges. He has bs13 which is really cool on a camo unit. Suprise attack with Vasilly is really deadly in infinity standarts.

To have a LT sniper means you can use your LT order to kill things.

CC17 + dcharges can be dangerous for a TAG.

Forward observer + LT is also cool. T2 marksmanrifle on the variant is a real medium range strategic weapon. With coordinated orders, you can move him to a spot where he can be really deadly. More over, he can be a good candidate for a suppresion fire if he needs to hold a ground.

You have a decoy to hide your LT and opponent will think that he is a spetsnaz.

CONCLUSION

They were better when they were cheaper. Still they are fine. But we need to keep an eye on they are expensive. Vasilly is cool but you need the right mission to use him. Autocannon variant, LT and chain of command ones will be more reliable. You need to face a TAG to enjoy them more.
